Everyone fears drawing hands because they start with the fingers, five little cylinders that never quite fit together. The right way is the opposite: draw the palm first as a soft box, then grow the fingers out of it like branches.
The fingers fan out from the wrist like the spokes of a fan, not in parallel. That fanning is what gives the hand a natural gesture.
