Storyboarding: seeing the film before you make it

A storyboard is a screenplay that is drawn rather than written: a set of simple images, each showing a key moment of the story. With it you can see the whole film before making a single real frame.
You do not need pretty drawings. A stick figure and a few lines are enough. What matters is camera angle, composition, and the order of moments. A mistake you catch here is a thousand times cheaper than in the animation stage.
